What web design services do you offer?

I offer two types of design services:

>Standard web pages built to your specification that includes navigation, contact form, graphics and CSS style template (moderate cost and timeframe).

>Input of your text and graphics into a third party template of my choosing based upon your colour scheme and preferences (low cost and shorter timeframe).

I have numerous templates at hand that can be used for your website. If using a pre-designed template, the designer credit at the bottom of the template must remain if it is part of the designers terms of use. You will be advised if this is the case.

What I can and cannot do.

I can: design a CSS/HTML/XHTML website based upon your needs and preferences that can include JavaScript

I cannot: design PHP web pages, databases, or ecommerce sites, although I can set up basic PayPal merchant buttons etc if you give me the code.

How much do you charge for designing a website?

Prices for web design vary depending on how much work is required. The standard price, with the entire site built from the ground up is $20AU per page. This includes any logos, graphics etc that I will need to provide. For web sites that are designed around a pre-designed template, the cost is $10AU per page, including logos and/or graphics. If you cannot afford this, then I may accept a donation.

What is the web design process?

The process is fairly simple:

1. You should have an idea of the type of website that you want designed, including pictures, colour scheme, layout etc. You will need to convey this to me in your opening email. You should have decided if you would like a totally unique website, or one based upon a pre-designed template. You will also need to have an idea of how many pages that you want for your website and if you have a deadline.

2. I will then contact you and let you know if I am available to design your site. If I am, I will contact you to ask you any further questions regarding layout and content.

3. Once the first page is complete, I will upload it to my own web server and email you a link to the page. You can then ask for any changes.

4. When all pages have been completed to your satisfaction, you will pay for the web design and arrange for me to email you the website in a zip file for you to upload or give me your web servers ftp details and password and I will upload the website for you. You can change your password once the upload is complete and everything is working as it should.

What do I need to provide?

You will need to provide the following:

Text for the website and graphics (pictures) if you have them - or I can provide graphics in most cases.If you do not have a way with words, I am happy to edit the text for you, with your approval. Pictures should be in JPG, GIF or PNG format and do not need to be resized as I can do that for you if needed. Text can be in TXT, RTF or DOC format.

How long will the web design process take?

The time taken will depend upon how much work is involved. If you have a deadline, please let me know and I will do everything I can to meet it.
